IoThon (IoT Hackathon) is the first ever hackathon organised by the Department of Communications and Networking at Aalto University. We are looking for amazing and passionate student volunteers to make this event a miracle! You will get a chance to claim a study credit (ECTS). Not to forget, you'll enjoy the great atmosphere of students, organisers, companies and other fellow volunteers from various countries and improve your networks. Of course, you can expect fun, appetizing food and refreshments along the way. You will also get a chance to understand the organising perspectives of a Hackathon and possibly a chance to judge the participants at the Hackathon.
If you have organised a lot of events and you know how volunteering works, then please let us know and we will try to give you the role in which you perform the best. If you have any preferences, let us know. If you are new to volunteering, this is the chance to learn and grow. You can specify which parts of the event you would like to volunteer, such as stage, info desk (registration), catering, security, and production teams. There will be a volunteer orientation session after you have been recruited.
If you are a nerd and enjoy talking about technology, then during your free time, you can attend the tutorials and initiate discussions with mentors from the department. If you are not a nerd, then still you get to know about the latest developments, enhancements to the technology and also get to know the hackathon scenario.
